In today’s world, we are sometimes told that we need to take special remedies to be healthy and powerful, that we need to go on diets to reach our feel-good weight, or that we need to eat foods marketed as superfoods.
And yet, it stands to reason that the way humans are born, they already have most – if not all – of what they need. If he listens to his body and feeds it what it naturally craves, he can perform at peak levels and contribute to good health.

And yet so many things have changed in the past decades. From food supply to dietary habits and genetic risk, many contemporary diseases are linked to our diet. And the origin lies in our intestines. That’s where our food arrives and is digested and metabolized. Numerous microbes are an essential part of these natural processes in the body. They form our microbiome, an “organ" of our body that should not be underestimated. And more often than ever before, it gets into dysbalance in today’s world. And this disturbed microbiome balance is suspected of being the trigger of various diseases.

Take a closer look: What is the cause of this imbalance?

Nature and ressources:

Nature provides us with the resources from which we can prepare our food. Our body as well as the many small creatures within us (microbes) have been successfully tuned to this through countless years of evolution.

…if we would not exploit these resources, contaminate them, process them with questionable additives or genetically modify them and thus constantly experiment on our bodies in a certain way.

People and microbiome:

Our bacterial environment is built from birth and grows over the years into a healthy microbiome, which can protect us from disease by allowing a healthy microbiome to boost the immune system.

…if we didn’t unbalance our microbiome with bacteria-killing agents (antibacterial).

Fuel for our body:

The body naturally calls for what it demands. These include Proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals, trace elements. Quite naturally, a balance is created and we take only what the body needs.
…if additives were not introduced into the further processing of food, which can confuse our sense of what we really need.

We become addicted to sugar, often eat too much and sometimes out of pure appetite, and consume “dead" food through the industrial sterilization process.

Nature has not arranged it that way and this can, for example, be a problem. lead to overweight as well as malnutrition and thus ultimately promote or cause diseases.

Our skin:

The outer shell of our body, our skin, is also able to contribute significantly to our own recovery. The microbiome built up on our skin since birth acts and protects us from external influences such as cold, heat, stress and dirt. The bacteria regulate this all by themselves. Regularly washed with purely natural means, the stability of the microbiome is promoted.

…if today’s society didn’t model for us that one has to practice a maximum of body care. Shampoos and shower gels in all scent variations and adapted to every skin and hair type, creams in all variations, a separate cream for every part of the body and applied as often as possible to keep the skin healthy. This, when exaggerated, can disrupt the natural skin barrier, the microbiome of our skin, and increases the likelihood of developing skin problems. Allergies can also develop.

It is no longer so easy to listen naturally to what the body is telling us.

What can we basically do to strengthen our microbial balance?

  • Do not shower, wash, groom too often
  • Do not care with antibacterial agents
  • Do not clean with antibacterial agents in the household
  • Care with gentle, natural means
  • Enrich the skin and the environment with good bacteria
  • Build and strengthen the internal microbiome with the help of good bacteria
  • Eat a balanced and healthy diet, enriching the food we eat as much as possible with microbial substances.
  • Avoid stress and exercise

Note: Beyond our recommendations, general hygiene standards should always be followed (hand washing before and after food preparation, after eating, toileting, and antibacterial measures on the medical advice of your trusted physician).
